CD Capital needed a compelling brand identity to position itself as the leading critical minerals private equity fund, uniquely combining deep geological expertise with disciplined financial acumen.
The challenge was to create a brand that would resonate with investors while also telling a boarder story of progress, one that is reflective of CD Capital’s mission to raise patient capital and design the roadmaps of a more sustainable and equitable future.
Building on our brand idea, “Critical Minerals. Vital Change.”, we crafted an impactful identity featuring a mature yet dynamic typeface that conveys both confidence and momentum.
The broader design system, featuring energetic gradients, a sophisticated colour palette, and a balanced, holistic logo mark, reflects CD Capital’s first-mover ethos and transforms the tension between mineral extraction and environmental healing into a narrative of progress and trust.

Process
We set out to highlight the critical role minerals play in securing a sustainable future. With the recognition that the minerals are the heroes, and of fundamental importance, we purposefully wanted to place them centre stage.
We undertook a rigorous process of photographing each mineral and creating high-resolution scans, which we then digitally rebuilt and enhanced with layered textures and colour treatments. Digitally brought to life in continuous motion, our minerals spin in an endless loop to symbolise their cyclical role in driving forward an environmentally responsible and socially equitable future.

The bold new messaging and identity communicates CD Capital’s mission to drive sustainable development of the world’s most critical mineral resources.
With clear, confident messaging and a design system that balances maturity with momentum, the brand resonates across audiences, from institutional investors and mining partners to policymakers and sustainability advocates.
